Annie's Place

I used to go to Annie's place  beside an old store

A worn down shed was all she had – all she could pay for

Annie standing there by the counter

Serving coffee, all on her own

Maybe someday save enough money

Move up to the fine side of town

Some time – maybe next time

Late at night you'd hear her wishing

Some time maybe next time

All I want, is all I'm missing

Some time – maybe next time

Late at night you'd hear her wishing

Some time maybe next time

All I need, is all I'm missing

The sign would shine on Annie's place – all through the winter

No fancy rhyme, a simple line – that said come in here

Annie standing there by her counter

Working hard just paying the rent

Late at night she'd look in her red book

Just to find – her money was spent

Some time – maybe next time

Late at night you'd hear her wishing

Some time maybe next time

All I want, is all I'm missing

Some time – maybe next time

Late at night you'd hear her wishing

Some time maybe next time

All I want, is all I'm missing

Late at night you'd hear her wishing

All I need, is all I'm missing

Some time – maybe next time, wo-hoo, wo-hoo

Some time – maybe next timewo-hoo, wo-hoo

Some time – maybe next time

Late at night you'd hear her wishing

Some time  maybe next time

All I need, is all I'm missing

Some time – maybe next time, wo-hoo, wo-hoo

Some time – maybe next timewo-hoo, wo-hoo
